The Youth Group group was first formed around 20 years ago in the era before social media with the idea of encouraging younger members to get together. They would do the same sort of things as any other TSSC members – drives out, meetings, reports in the magazine etc – but with a younger average age to the group. It worked well, but tended to get a little less active each time the main organiser got older.

However, youth involvement in Triumphs is incredibly important - If we don't keep them going, who knows what the future will hold for our cars? Happily, the group has now been revived and reinvigorated as the TSSC Youth. The revival came naturally, with six of us under the age of 25 in Norfolk, all with Triumphs and all keen to get involved.

We've changed the name to TSSC Youth because we want the group to be clear.

Many people don't even realise that younger Triumph owners are out there, but I could list 30+ Triumph owners under the age of 30 that I know personally. Our alms are to share the passion for Triumphs among younger owners. Our May event is the first step - if it goes well, we hope to make that an annual gathering, but we also want more young people joining in and coming along to TSSC events throughout the year.

The six of us will be the youth coordinators. We plan to run an official TSSC Youth Instagram, a WhatsApp group, a TikTok account and have a page in The Courier to create a real community. Everyone being under the age of 30 will help keep everyone around a similar age. As well
as our big North Norfolk Coastal Run on 15th-17th May, we also hope to attend the Isle of Wight Run, Malvern, Peaks Run, Yorkshire Dales and more. Other youth members are always welcome and encouraged to join these events, so please do get in touch.
